If you plan to make a trip on I-35 going south you will encounter a slow down. This particular closure is to help fix the road, but started from the flooding.
From MnDot:
Twin Ports motorists that use the Grand Avenue on and off ramps at I-35 need to make other plans on June 9th. That ramp will close for one day - from 5 AM until the work is complete.
Drivers are instructed to utilize the Central Avenue ramps, which will bring you close to your destination...
It was only supposed to last two years. Then, Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton shut down operations last summer over the budget impasse; Those four weeks of idling orange cones has dragged the I-35 Mega Project in the Twin Ports into Year Three.
