Tuesday, August 14th 6pm Zinema A grant from ARAC Arrowhead Regional Arts Council made it possible to offer a Short Video/ Film Class that began this past fall. Students from CHOICE, unlimited ARTS Program contributed to the writing, acting, directing and editing of original short films. Instruction covered the basics of story development, story boarding, scene creation and shooting and editing footage. The class created a variety of short films and a screening of those films will be held at the Zinema Theatre downtown on Tuesday, August 14th at 6pm. Come on down, grab some popcorn and be thoroughly entertained!
A recent donation from St. Raphael's Knights of Columbus Council will allow the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northland to make winter a little warmer for some folks in the Twin Ports. The club was the recipient of 48 coats and a variety of winter hats - destined for a needy home. The donation is the continuation of an annual donation by the Knights of Columbus to the cause.
