Wow, the City of Duluth is on top of it this year.  While on their website I noticed that you can already go online and get your pet licensed for 2017.  I've lived in the country most of my life, so moving to Duluth was a culture shock where pets are concerned.  My dog is now on a leash in the yard for safety concerns, his and that of people passing by.  Before you get busier with holiday festivit

Leave it to a dog to keep a cat on its toes.

I talked to Daryl this morning and he reminded me that it's adopt a cat month. Every cat 1 year or older is only $25 bucks to take home. Some of these cats would love to find a place and someone to love on. If you are a cat lover this is the best time to take one with you to make part of your family.

Daryl was on the line talking cats today. I learned something, that cats usually live to be 26. There will be plenty of time on this guy. Right now Animal Allies is running a promotion  to get a cat for a dollar a life, so a cat coming home with you costs $9.

Kat joined me on the radio this morning to talk about pets. This morning we talked about a cute dog looking for a forever home. Here's what Kat had to say:

They do what?!  That was the expression I thought when I first heard that Disneyland effectively manages any potential mice problems with gangs of feral cats at night.  The Doubting-Thomas part of my personality came out and I had to dig deeper into this story to see if it was true.

Jenny talked about Animal Safety this morning. Make sure your animals are secured for July 4th. Some need to be put in a kennel. Some just need to be in a safe place. Some dogs try to eat the fireworks, so keep them far away from them.
