In an effort to get more people out on the water, The Duluth Rowing Club is now offering beginner classes.

There's a new website, plus I have included all the shipping websites to enjoy the canal and boats coming to the harbor.

The threat of invasive species in the Land of 10,000 Lakes has been around for many years. One county in the state is stepping up efforts to fight the spread of these unwanted aquatic hitchhikers, which raises the question, should others follow suit?

Camping in Brimson is always a treat.  There's campfires, ATV rides, running, Hugo's, Pequaywan Inn fish fry, biking, kayaking, eating and fishing.  This time, Labor Day brought another surprise, Ice Fishing House races.  Wait.....what?  How does that work?

When I was a kid I was lucky enough to sail on the Great lakes. I wanted to be in the engine room, so I signed on with the PM line as a wiper the first season, an oiler the second, and really enjoyed it. My love of boats lives on to this day, and I can thank the Great Lakes for that (Rise and shine on the PM line..I'll never forget that)
