According to a study by Prudential, released on this day in 2009, the average person spends $42,000 on music during their lifetime. That figure includes listening equipment (stereo, iPods, etc) as well as concerts, digital downloads, and Cd's.
Here's the kicker. A music enthusiast (like myself) is likely to spend more than double that, just around $89,000 in their lifetime.
