Steve O'Neil spent his life in Duluth working for Duluth's most vulnerable families. His legacy will continue, as the new apartments and emergency shelter bearing his name. They will not only help those families, but will also help fulfill Duluth's vision of becoming a city that welcomes the stranger, feeds the hungry, and houses the homeless.
For those of you that rent apartments, this may not come as much of a shock. Data released by the Minnesota Housing Partnership shows that Minnesota ranks last in affordability for 2-bedroom apartment rentals in the 12-state Midwestern region.
Beginning on Tuesday, February, 18th, 2014 the Duluth Police Department and Duluth Fire Department will be conducting rental license compliance checks. The Goal is to check all of the licensed rentals in the city of Duluth.
