
Spring Storm To Dump Snow on Minnesota: Updated Snowfall Predictions
Spring officially started on March 20th, and the Farmer's Almanac has already made their prediction for summer, but winter weather is what people are talking about today.
A strong spring storm will sweep across Minnesota Tuesday, bringing several inches of heavy, wet snow to certain areas. The National Weather Service has already issued weather warnings and watches, see the latest info below.
The storm moved into western Minnesota on Tuesday morning and will gain strength as it continues to move eastward.
Travel conditions will likely be hazardous in certain areas. Make sure to reduce your speed, wear your seatbelt, and keep a safe distance from other vehicles.
Updated Snowfall Predictions By Region
In terms of snowfall, west and central Minnesota are in for heavy wet snow.
The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities says, cities like St. Cloud could see 3-4 inches, Alexandria may receive 6-8 inches, and Fergus Falls could get up to a foot of snow. They say "paved surfaces will likely become slushy" which will create some slick and dangerous travel conditions.

The National Weather Service office in La Crosse says, Southeast Minnesota will mostly experience rain mixed with light snow, with little to no accumulation expected.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service office in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Warning for northeastern Minnesota and says cities in the Northland will get between 4 to 10 inches of snow.
