
All Aboard the Pizza Train Just 2-Hours from the Twin Cities, MN
You know something that brings everyone in the family together? Pizza. You can't have a bad day when someone says 'I ordered pizza!' Or even better, if they say they made pizza from scratch. Yum!
Something else that at least the kids will love? Trains. Put trains and pizza together and you've got an incredible family outing. And not too far over the Minnesota border in Wisconsin, you can have the coolest experience on a Pizza Train.

Train Rides Near the Twin Cities, Minnesota
In the town of Trego, WI, which is about 2-hours northeast of the Twin Cities and a bit over an hour southeast of Duluth, is where you'll find this Pizza Train. It's operated as part of the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad which has been family owned and operated since 1997.
They do all sorts of special train rides and experiences through the north woods of Wisconsin. One of those experiences is a Bed and Breakfast Train experience where you'll spend the night on the train with your special someone. That costs you $499 per couple but includes your accommodations, dinner, cocktails, and breakfast.

They also do a Dinner Train Ride for couples that gives you a 2.5-hour dining experience. That will cost you $95 per person.
They also have family train rides and by far their most popular one is their Pizza Train.
Family-Friendly Pizza Train Near the Twin Cities, Minnesota
For $40 per adult and $32 per child, you can hop aboard the train for a fun, 2-hour ride through "farm fields, deep woods, the scenic Namekagon River, and a stop at the Bean Creek Trestle."
And during the ride, you'll get your own, personal pizza that is made right on the train!
The Pizza Train operates every Saturday at noon. Then in mid-June through August, they have rides on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
If I had kids I would absolutely be planning a trip right now, this sounds so fun!
