Twin Cities Motorcycle Crash Leads to 11th Death in Seven Days on Minnesota’s Roads
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcyclist lost her life in a crash on a freeway in the Twin Cities early Friday morning.

She’s become at least the eleventh person to die on Minnesota’s roads in the past week. A motorcyclist, identified as 20-year-old Cooper Russell Bertram of Elko also died in a construction zone I-35 Wednesday night in southern Scott County.
Some of the other fatalities include two nine-year-old children who were among four killed in a northern Minnesota construction zone crash, a Rochester man who died in a rollover on I-90 and the victim of an apparent targeted hit-and-run in Maplewood.
Young Minneapolis Woman Killed in Motorcycle Crash on I-35W
The State Patrol responded to the latest traffic fatality shortly after midnight Friday morning. A southbound motorcycle crashed on Interstate 35W at Hennepin Ave. in Minneapolis.
The operator lost control of the motorcycle after failing to navigate a curve at what the state crash report describes as an “elevated rate of speed.” The motorcycle went off the road to the right and struck a guardrail.
23-year-old Piper Louise Forsen of Minneapolis was identified as the motorcycle operator. She was taken to a Minneapolis hospital where she died from her injuries.
Forsen was wearing a helmet. It’s not known if alcohol was involved in the fatality, the crash report says.
