Supreme Court Won’t Hear Appeal of Former Rochester Man’s Killer
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Supreme Court has denied a request to review the case of an Arizona man now serving a more than 100 year prison sentence for murdering a former Rochester man and three other people.
The quadruple homicide occurred in September 2021 in St. Paul and the victims were later found shot to death in an SUV that was parked in a cornfield near Menomonie, Wisconsin. Inside the vehicle, investigators found six spent shell casings and an Arizona drivers license issued to 41-year-old Antoine Suggs.
The victims in the case were 26-year-old Matthew Pettus, 30-year-old Nitosha Flu-Pressley, 35-year-old Loyace Foreman, and 30-year-old Jasmine Sturm. Pettus lived in Rochester for several years before he moved to St. Paul about a year before his death.
Court records stated that Suggs was apprehended in Arizona about two weeks after western Wisconsin authorities issued a nationwide arrest warrant for him. He was eventually convicted of four counts of second-degree murder for the murders, and the Minnesota Court of Appeals, earlier this year, upheld his conviction and sentence.
Suggs' father was sentenced to 58 months in prison for aiding an offender. He was accused of helping the son transport the bodies of the victims to the cornfield where they were found.
