Minnesota State Patrol Looking for Info in Fatal Hit-and-Run
Deer River, MN (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol is requesting public assistance regarding a fatal hit-and-run over the weekend.
The agency said the fatal incident happened during dense fog Sunday morning. They say a vehicle struck a pedestrian between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m.
The deadly incident happened along Hwy. 6 between Hwy. 2 and County Rd. 19 in northeast Minnesota’s Itasca County. Officials say the fog may have contributed to the crash and that the driver may not know that they hit someone due to the poor visibility.
The identity of the pedestrian and the exact location where they were found have not been released.

The State Patrol is asking to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about it. Tipsters are asked to contact the agency’s Virginia district investigator at 218-735-3729.
