Minnesota Murder Victim Found Near River Identified as Teen Girl, Suspect Captured
Moorhead, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities say the victim of a recent murder in Minnesota is a teenage girl.

Law enforcement found her body near the Red River in Moorhead around 12:30 Tuesday morning. Her corpse was located after officers responded to the report of a missing person.
The Moorhead Police Department has since announced the arrest of the suspected killer.
14-Year-Old Girl Found Dead Near Red River in Moorhead, 18-Year-Old Man Arrested
On Wednesday, authorities identified the slain teenage girl as 14-year-old Jaelyn Nichole Walker.
Investigators say they’re withholding her cause of death until they receive a preliminary autopsy report from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
On Tuesday Moorhead Police announced the arrest of the man suspected of killing the young girl. He’s been identified as 18-year-old Isaac Arthur Arndt.
The Fargo man is suspected of killing the teen girl in the area of 6 Avenue and Elm Street South in Moorhead, police say. Officials say Arndt is being held in the Cass County Jail in Fargo and is awaiting extradition back to Minnesota.
The Clay County Attorney’s Office is expected to draft and then file a formal homicide complaint in Clay County Court in the coming days, officials say.
The investigation so far indicates Arndt and Walker are known to each other.
Investigators also issued a request for public assistance regarding the ongoing investigation. Police are looking for two people who are suspected of giving Arndt a ride on the night of the alleged murder.
