Swimmer Dies After Jumping from Dock into Minnesota Lake
Cass Lake, MN (KROC-AM News)- A swimmer lost his life after jumping into a northern Minnesota lake.

That’s according to a news release issued on Wednesday by the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office. The water death occurred on Tuesday.
Deputies responded to the report of a man unresponsive after jumping into the lake shortly after 6:15 p.m. The call came from Kitchi Lake, which is about 25 miles east of Bemidji.
Upon arrival first responders encountered multiple people at the scene performing life-saving measures on the man. Law enforcement continued to render aid to the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates the 30-year-old man jumped from a dock and landed in shallow water. He then resurfaced and was unresponsive, the news release says.
The man’s name has not been released. His body was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
