Warning Issued Following Rescues of Injured Climbers at Iconic Southeast Minnesota Bluff
Winona, MN (KROC-AM News)- First responders were dispatched to two separate emergencies at a popular climbing spot in southeast Minnesota on Friday and Saturday.

Three people have been rescued after being injured on the bluff in less than two weeks.
The first happened on July 28, when a hiker suffered serious injuries after falling from Sugar Loaf Rock in Winona.

The sudden uptick of incidents have officials urging anyone using the park to be careful.
Two Injured Climbers Rescued in Two Days from Sugar Loaf Park in Winona, MN
The first rescue at Sugar Loaf Park in Winona was reported shortly before 7:00 Friday evening.
A climber had fallen from the iconic rock and suffered multiple injuries, the Winona Fire Department says.
Firefighters found and treated the climber before taking the person to a waiting ambulance.
The climber was then taken to Winona Health with multiple injuries, officials say.
Less than 24 hours later, emergency responders returned to the rock on the report of a climber suffering an ankle injury.
Crews used a stokes basket to bring the injured party down the hill to a waiting ambulance.
The climber, who officials say had adequate equipment, was taken to the hospital in Winona.
The names of the injured climbers have not been released.
