Coon Rapids, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is distributing a statewide Endangered Missing Person Alert for the man who has been missing for more than a month.

The BCA issued the statewide alert at the request of the Coon Rapids Police Department for Adam Metz. Officials say the 41-year-old man was reported missing on October 21, but he was last seen in the Coon Rapids and Blaine areas on October 10. The alert states that he left a friend's residence on October 3 during what was described as a mental health crisis.

Coon Rapids police say it is believed Metz may be experiencing homelessness and could be in a vulnerable mental state. The alert also mentions concerns that he may be at risk of self-harm.

Metz, who is also known by the nickname "Dern," is described as white, 5' 10", 310 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
