Individuals will have their section tournaments this upcoming weekend, and that will determine who qualifies as an individual for the state tournament at the Xcel Energy Center.

Individuals can still qualify to participate in the state tournament, even if their team didn't make the state tournament. The individual just has to win or come in second in their section tournament, once all the individuals are qualified the wrestlers will then be seeded for the state tournament.

The Minnesota State Wrestling Tournament, which perhaps isn't as popular as the boy's hockey tournament is, is still a great setting to watch phenomenal athletes competing at the highest level of varsity sport.

If you've never been to it before you might want to consider attending a session.
