Greetings, fans of Sasquatch 92.1, whom we affectionately call Stink Ape Nation. As you know, we've been teasing you that a new sound was coming, and that day has arrived for Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Over the past ten years, we've had a blast playing Classic Rock, but we've heard your demands for a Northland station that plays brand new rock, as well as a heavier dose of rockers from the 90s and 2000s, and now is the time to take Sasquacth 92.1 into that cool new direction.

Check out the official press release below announcing the change, and be sure to hit us up through our mobile app with what you'd like to hear. Enjoy the new sound of Sasquatch 92.1, Real Rock For The Northland!

Townsquare Media is proud to unveil the reimagined Sasquatch 92.1 as REAL ROCK FOR THE NORTHLAND, delivering a bold new sound that speaks directly to the soul of rock fans across Minnesota and Wisconsin.

David Drew, Director Of Music / Brand Manager of Sasquatch 92.1 (WWPE), says, “The Sasquatch brand has always had an aggressive approach, and while we won’t forget to play epic rockers from the past, now is the perfect time to evolve to play new rock and a lot more of the great songs from the 2000s and the 90s because fans of newer rock deserve a radio station to call their own and Sasquatch 92.1 is proud to fill that void.”

The new sound of Sasquatch 92.1 launches with a full day of commercial-free wall-to-wall REAL ROCK on April 7th, 2025, sponsored by Sonju Two Harbors.

Sasquatch 92.1 will feature a weekday lineup of local DJs who are passionate about rock & roll:

  • 6 AM - 9 AM: Danger In The Morning, locally hosted by Joe Danger
  • 9 AM - Noon: Fox David – Featuring The 2-Hour Commercial-Free Rock Block
  • Noon - 3 PM: KC - a new addition to the Sasquatch 92.1 team.
  • 3 PM - 7 PM: The Ace Rawkolla Show – Featuring Commercial-Free REAL ROCK at 3
  • 7 PM - Midnight: Loudwire Nights with Chuck Armstrong

Weekend will feature local jocks and some of the best syndicated rocks shows the industry has to offer.

“For years, we’ve heard from listeners about the need for a real rock station in the Twin Ports. We’re confident this will open the door for more rock concerts, experiences, and a new era of rock in the Northland,” says Ken Hayes, Director of Content at Townsquare Media Duluth.
