Earlier this week, my family spent a few days enjoying some spring break fun in the Twin Cities, and one stop towered above all other things we did during our visit.

We spent some time at the Mall of America, an adventure/trampoline park, and a few other family fun spots around town, but it was the stop at this St. Paul attraction that was the highlight of the trip.

A Hidden Gem in St. Paul

This hidden gem, located in an old canning factory near the Minnesota State Fairgrounds just off Snelling Avenue, features over 40,000 square feet of non-stop fun, with an 18-hole mini golf course, over 150 arcade machines, a bar, food, and other surprises around every corner.

Can Can Wonderland is located in the old American Can Company building, a gigantic structure built in 1889 that once made cans for Campbell’s Soup, Del Monte, and more. It is now home to what might be the most fun place in the Twin Cities.

Minnesota Arcade Fun for All Ages

We went late on a Tuesday, and it was only $11 per person to get access to the arcade, where all the games are set to free play. You can play as much or as little as you want without having to spend any more money.

The selection of arcade games was impressive. They have pinball, old-school arcade machines with classic games like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong, and some very old historic arcade games that must be over 100 years old. I would call it a playable museum; it was fun to see the history of arcades in one space.

Unique Premium Experiences

They also offer some premium experiences that do cost extra. For instance, they have a break room where you can pay a small fee to smash stuff. But the most unique experience was their Caraoke: you sit in an old car and sing a song, complete with microphones, with the lyrics projected onto the car’s windshield.

They also offer a Tap Wall, a self-service tap that charges you by the ounce. It’s a great way to sample some things you’ve never had without committing to a full glass. Be careful, though, it can add up quickly.

Mini Golf with a Minnesota Twist

We didn’t have enough time to play mini golf, which is an extra $15 per person charge to play, but each hole is a unique experience, designed and built by local Minnesota artists and engineers.

My family had a great time and can’t recommend Can Can Wonderland enough. The experience was nothing like anything else I’ve done before, and I “can’t can’t” wait to return and try the mini golf.

LOOK: 35 Vintage Cereals That Perfectly Captured Pop Culture Moments

Movies and TV shows have always found ways to partner with cereal companies as part of their promotion strategy. While some may have come up with a giveaway in boxes, others went big by having their own cereal connected to the movie or TV show title. Here are vintage cereals that were used to promote some of pop culture's biggest moments (and some you probably forgot about).
