Own a Piece of Minnesota Sports Legacy
Now, the University of Minnesota is getting in on the action, doing some early spring cleaning and offering up a rare opportunity for fans to bring home a piece of Gopher history.
Game-Used Lockers Up for Auction
As part of a new auction, the University of Minnesota is selling athlete-used lockers. These aren’t just any lockers; they resemble the kind you’d find in a hockey or football locker room, the very spaces where student-athletes have prepared for game day.

While there’s no official confirmation of where these lockers were used on campus, K-BID, the company organizing the auction, describes them as having “held the gear of some of Minnesota’s finest student-athletes, possibly even future professional stars. Decades of grit, sweat, and victory have passed through these doors, making them an iconic part of Minnesota sports history."
Auction Details
Bidding for these unique lockers continues through Wednesday, February 19, at 7 PM. As of now, the highest bid stands at $145, with the lowest bid at just $21—making this an affordable chance to own a piece of Gopher sports history.
University of Minnesota’s ReUse Program
The lockers are being auctioned as part of the University of Minnesota’s ReUse Program, which allows valuable items and materials to be either reused within the university or sold to the public. This program helps repurpose and recycle items that still have value, giving sports fans and collectors a rare opportunity to own authentic university memorabilia.
