If you ever wondered what life on the high seas is like, a Minnesota museum is giving one lucky winner a round-trip cruise on a 1,000-foot lake freighter.

The unique raffle is a fundraiser for the Lake Superior Marine Museum Association. They operate the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center next to the historic Duluth Lift Bridge.

A Unique Minnesota Fundraiser

The raffle for the "Cruise of a Lifetime" includes a 6–7 day trip aboard the Edwin H. Gott for the winner and up to 3 guests during the 2026 shipping season. The winner and their guests will likely board the ship in Two Harbors.

According to the raffle entry ticket, the winner and their travel companions will need to keep their "schedule very flexible." Winner and guests will sail when the ship is available.
