The Minnesota State Fair is just 120 days away, and only a few spots remain for headlining acts at the Grandstand after today's concert announcement.

One thing the 2025 Minnesota State Fair lineup was missing was a major pop act. With artists like Def Leppard, Melissa Etheridge and Indigo Girls, and the Steve Miller Band already announced, the Grandstand needed someone to appeal to a younger, hit-music crowd.

Pop Star Power Finally Added to the Fair

Problem solved. The Minnesota State Fair just added "All About That Bass" singer Meghan Trainor to the 2025 Grandstand lineup. She'll perform on Friday, August 22 at 7 PM.

Tickets to see Grammy Award-winning Meghan Trainor at the Grandstand go on sale Friday, April 25 at 10 AM on the State Fair website. All tickets are reserved and range from $56 to $91.25. Party Deck seating will cost between $112 and $125.75.

This Isn’t Meghan’s First MN State Fair Booking

Trainor was previously scheduled to perform at the State Fair in 2015 on the final day of the event but had to cancel that show, and the rest of her tour, due to a vocal cord hemorrhage.

Meghan Trainor also has a special tie to Minnesota. Her 2015 hit "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" featuring John Legend was co-written by Cannon Falls, Minnesota native Caitlyn Smith. Smith has also written for other State Fair performers, including Old Dominion.

9 Unlikely New Names for Minnesota's Xcel Energy Center
