It's not October but that doesn't mean we can't get in the Halloween spirit a bit early! A popular spot in Duluth is hosting a screening of a spooky film that was filmed in the area and has some pretty famous faces.

The Caddy Shack Indoor Golf & Pub will be hosting a screening of The Hand That Feeds later this month. The screening will be extra special because the film was actually shot at the pub. The screening will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 3 p.m.

No movie screening is complete without food. The screening will have popcorn by Kettle Kravings, a hotdog combo with chips or onion fries for six bucks and anything off of their usual menu, including pizza and drinks.

The partly will start half hour prior to showtime at 2:30 p.m. There will be a seven dollar cover charge to get in and because the movie is rated R, no minors are allowed. The Caddy Shack is located in Lincoln Park at 2023 West Superior Street.

The screening will also have dogs up for adoption courtesy of P.J.'s Rescue! You can also bring your dog on a leash or come pick up a furry friend if you are thinking of adopting. You can also get your pet microchipped for twenty-five bucks and nails trims before and after the screening for just five bucks.

The Hand That Feeds filmed in and around the area back in May of 2021 but mainly at The Caddy Shack. There are a ton of locals in the film, as they often held casting calls for Duluthians to take part in the movie. The film was shot in a month and stars famous actor Chris Mulkey, who is from Wisconsin.

Movie producers took to Facebook to share that there would be some "very special guests" at the screening so stay tuned. Maybe one of the stars of the movie? We will have to wait and see! As for the movie plot, it is as follows:

"With the passing of his estranged father, Russell inherits the only asset to his name: a bar. As relationships form and Rusty finds himself right at home, he'll soon learn that his inheritance holds a dark secret."

Soon, we will have another Lincoln Park movie to watch on the silver screen. There is a Christmas movie filming in the area called Rescuing Christmas. While the plot is under lock and key for now, we do now it stars Rachael Leigh Cook and Sam Page.
