What? Minnesota Not Among Best States For A Fall Visit
I'm sorry but I have to beg to differ on this one! A new study ranked the best states for a fall visit in 2024 and Minnesota didn't do so great.
This particular study was done by LawnStarter and looked at a bunch of factors, like how many scenic drives there are in said state, the number of forest trails and the number of fall festivals.

That's not all! This study also took how much of the state is made up of national and state parks, along with how many days fall foliage is at its peak, into consideration. Sigh.
Sadly, Minnesota did not excel in the way I thought it would, coming in at number fourteen. Sure, that's not bad but I really thought our incredible fall colors would boost us up higher on the list.

Minnesota did come in first when it came to the projected number of weeks with fall foliage and we all know how epic the fall colors are here! We also placed tenth in terms of being a camping-friendly state, another factor considered here.
The good news? Wisconsin did much better, being named the seventh best state to visit this fall. I definitely thought Minnesota had better fall festivities than Wisconsin but I guess I was wrong.
I still think Minnesota deserved to do better but now I want to travel to California, Washington and Oregon and see for myself why they took the top spot!
