Minnesota Business Issues Urgent Warning About Email Scam
Sigh. Every day, there is another scam warning that pops up on my Facebook feed and this morning was no different.
I was mindlessly scrolling when a scam warning from a Minnesota company popped up. It was labeled as an urgent warning, which got my attention.

This scam was reported by Keystone Interpreting Solutions, which is a company based out of St. Paul.
However, when one scam pops up in the state, it always seems to appear everywhere else, just with a different business. That's just how scammers work.
I can't lie, this scam does look pretty convincing. According to their post, scammers are sending out what appears to be an 'exclusive invitation to a private bid' with a very convincing logo and no visible typos.

This is a scam and because it is happening over email, it could make its way to the Northland. As always, if you get an email like this, it is always best to delete it or contact the business directly to see if its legitimate.
This fake email includes a PDF, which likely leads to a phishing attempt from the scammers to get your information or to install malware on your computer.

The scam always creates a sense of urgency, telling those that open the email to act fast with a date a few days away given as as deadline. This always causes confusion and causes people to let their guards down.
When does it end?! I have a feeling it never will.
