Minnesotans Warned About Summer Concert Scam

Country and pop music fans - this one is for you! A major country / pop star is coming to Minnesota over Fourth of July weekend and now scammers are using the show as a means to try to scam people!

Kane Brown is set to headline a show at Grand Casino Hinckley on the Fourth of July. There's nothing better than a country concert in the summertime!

The show was announced in December, which was the perfect winter pick-me-up at the time. Now, it's just a few short weeks away.

Sadly, scammers are using the big show as a means to scam people and this is a scam that I don't blame anyone for falling for. It involves Jelly Roll!

Grand Casino Warns Of Jelly Roll Ticket Scam

Grand Casino Minnesota took to social media on Monday (June 16th), warning country and pop fans that no, Jelly Roll would not be at the Kane Brown show. I actually saw the exact scam they were talking about!

A fake event page popped up recently, showing Jelly Roll on the same ticket as Kane Brown and it gained quite a bit of traction online. Like I said, I even saw the fake ad!

Grand Casino Minnesota shared the following message, writing:

Get Tickets To See Kane Brown Next Month

The good news is that you can get tickets to the show right now online via Etix! If you see a fake Facebook event for the show that includes Jelly Roll, make sure you report it.

I do wonder what the point of a fake Facebook event is? What are scammers getting out of that? If you ever see something like this, go to the website of the venue directly to fact check.
