While we may be in the middle of winter, it's not too early to think about being back outside watching live music in the Northland. One great tradition is the Chester Creek Concert Series, which takes place each summer in Duluth.

The 40th Annual Chester Creek Concert Series kicks off in June 2023.  The series is once again made possible by Duluth Parks & Recreation with support from Chester Bowl Improvement Club.

Of course, in order to provide free weekly concerts for the community to enjoy, there must be bands on stage performing for everyone, and now is the time for bands to submit their application to be selected as part of the lineup.

All bands selected to perform will be paid $450 for a 90-minute set without breaks. Bands must be able to arrive at least 1 hour prior to performance time for set up and sound check. Sound is provided through a private sound company based on the needs of the band, which is submitted as part of the application process.

If you'd like to enter your band for consideration, please complete the application above before 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2023. All bands are asked to provide a bio, contact information, up to three sound samples, and other information. Please note that the link above is the only way to enter a band for the concert series.

The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation will host the 40th Annual Chester Creek Concert Series every Tuesday evening beginning June 13 and running through August 15, 2023. All concerts take place at Chester Park, located at 1800 E Skyline Parkway in Duluth.
