Another Round: Snow Totals Across The Northland
Winter has been delivering so far! We got our first snowstorm of the season over Thanksgiving weekend all across Minnesota and Wisconsin, and winter pretty much held out until then so we can't complain.
We saw well over a foot of snow in some parts of the region. More snow followed that weekend, and it's been pretty steady every since.

Earlier this week, meteorologists were tracking another system. At first, it seemed like it was going to be another huge one, with heavy snow totals expected across the Duluth area and beyond.
It ended up shifting at the last minute which was just fine with me! We still saw some light to moderate snow across the Northland. Here's how much fell in our neck of the woods.
Snow Totals Across The Northland For Tuesday December 9th
This isn't bad! The National Weather Service has provided snowfall totals for the past 24 hours. You can see reports from across the region online at any time. Here's what we are looking at:

Moose Lake: 4.7 inches
Holyoke: 3.8 inches
Gary New Duluth: 3.5 inches
Superior: 3 inches
Cloquet: 2.9 inches
Iron Junction: 2.5 inches
Floodwood: 2.3 inches
Duluth: 2 inches
Maple: 1.8 inches
Hermantown: 1.7 inches
I am glad that the system shifted! I don't mind a little snow but when we get a ton, it makes everything just a little bit harder. Roads were already completely clear by my drive to work on Wednesday morning.

So when will we see our next major snowstorm? If you believe the Old Farmer's Almanac, that would be in January. However, for now, I am just happy we will have snow for Christmas. It really sets the tone.
