Popular Grocery Retailer Closing All Wisconsin Stores On The Same Day

Knowing when our favorite places to shop are open is important because, if you're like me, you're quite often racing in just before they close to grab some last-minute things that you need.

That's why it's helpful to know when those stores may be unexpectedly closed, which is what is happening soon with one of the most popular retail chains in the country, and while it's understandable, it may arrive earlier than you'd expect.

Memorial Day is observed in America on the last Monday of May, and it's an extremely important holiday because it's when we honor and remember the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. It's a day of remembrance, often marked by visiting cemeteries, placing flags on graves, and holding ceremonies.

It's also a day when people throughout Wisconsin get together for cookouts and other gatherings, as it's also widely considered the unofficial start of summer.

The earliest possible date for Memorial Day is May 25, and this year's date for the holiday is a close second. If you're planning any type of gathering for Memorial Day, then make sure you're stocked up with everything you need ahead of time because a huge source for groceries and more announced it will be closed on May 26, while also letting customers know all the other days they will be closed in 2025.

Costco Announces 2025 Store Closures

Costco is one of the most popular retailers in the U.S. As of May 12, 2025, there are 624 Costco stores in the United States, including Puerto Rico.

There are 11 Costco stores in Wisconsin, and the following locations will be closed on Memorial Day:

• 2355 Costco Way in Bellevue
• 1420 Black Avenue in Eau Claire
• 950 Port Washington Road in Grafton
• 5401 W. Integrity Way in Grand Chute
• W162N9235 Pershing Avenue in Menomonee
• 2150 Deming Way in Middleton
• 15300 West Grange Avenue in New Berlin
• 443 Pewaukee Road in Pewaukee
• 7707 94th Avenue in Pleasant Prairie
• 2850 Hoepker Road in Sun Prairie
• 1000 Batker Court in Verona

This will allow Costco employees to both honor Memorial Day and spend time with their loved ones.

Costco has also notified team members and customers of other closures this year. Here are the remaining days in 2025 when all Costco stores will be closed across the United States:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
