Allan Law is a former teacher in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who saw first hand some of the poverty issues happening in the inner city. When he retired from teaching he decided to do something about it.

Now he cruises the streets handing out sandwiches and gloves and hats and whatever he has collected. He does it in the middle of the night. He sleeps in his van mostly because he doesn't want to miss anyone.

Why does he go at night? He says that's when the daytime help has ended, that's when people need help the most. When the shelters are closed and when the food shelves and done.

This video will move you.
