While it's only a week or so into the 2014 Holiday Season, officials with the Salvation Army in Superior are pleased with the response they have received from Northlanders so far.

According to Major David Clark, Corps Officer - the unit's goal for 2014 is $250,000 and they are a little over 15% of the way there.

Clark says "We appreciate the generous giving of friends of The Salvation Army.  Their financial support is critical to our continuing operations in Superior."

Funds that come in to the Salvation Army - either via the familiar red kettles or direct are used to support many local services - including food baskets, programs for youth and adults, and emergency assistance.

Donations may be dropped off in the Red Kettles through the Christmas holiday or by mailing them directly:  The Salvation Army, PO Box 485, Superior, WI 54880.
