Northern Minnesota drivers know Highway 37 as the short-cut from Highway 53 west - towards Hibbing.  Work to rebuild a railroad crossing will close that route for about a week, beginning Monday, September 19.

Crews with the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be in charge of the project.  CN Railroad will fix the crossing surface.  The work is in anticipation of a larger project to occur next summer, when MNDOT repaves Highway 37 from just east of Highway 169 to Highway 53.

Motorists who need to use Highway 37 will be able to detour, following County Road 7 and County Road 16.
