Highway 1/169 Resurfacing Project Near Ely Pauses For The Winter

You can't stop the changing seasons in Minnesota.  As winter gets ready to show itself to the Northland, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is pausing the highway resurfacing project near Ely for the season.

Crews will finish up the last few items on Highway 1/169 just west of Ely, and get ready to leave the project for the season.

When weather allows and work resumes in the spring of 2014, the area just west of Ely will receive the final layer of payment and work will start in  the project area south of Ely.
