Grandma’s Marathon Monitoring Coronavirus & No Changes So Far
Grandma's Marathon brings in tens of thousands of athletes and spectators to the region each June. Many sporting events and large gatherings are being affected by the COVID-19 outbreak with cancellations or fans not allowed to attend. According to KBJR, officials with Grandmas Marathon say they are "monitoring" the pandemic and following the Minnesota Department of Health guidelines.
Grandma's Marathon does bring in a lot of international travelers, and with the COVID-19 being a global pandemic, this could potentially affect the race. As for now, everything is continuing as planned as the Minnesota Department of Health has not advised cancellation of mass events as of now.
The race is scheduled for June 20, 2020 which is still 3 months away.
