Garfield Avenue To Close September 10-11

In order to accommodate the Drag Race and Car Show that's happening on Garfield Avenue this weekend, the street will need to be closed to traffic for the majority of the weekend.

According to officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Garfield Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 6:00 AM on Saturday, September 10 - and will reopen at 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 11.  During this time, there will be no access to the Port Terminal from Garfield.  A detour will be posted that uses 27th Avenue West to provide access to the Port Terminal and all of the other businesses in the area.
