A free Cyber Day workshop for students in grades 6-12 will be held on Friday, February 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a pizza lunch included.

Students will learn about the fast-paced world of cybersecurity and the many career opportunities available in this exciting and high-paying field! Students will explore hands-on activities and participate in a short virtual Capture the Flag competition. Activities will also include cyber safety and defense, protection against Internet of Things (IOT) devices, basic scripting and robot programming.

Held at Lake Superior College’s main campus and led by LSC’s Computer Information Systems Department and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense, the workshop is designed for students grades 6-12 who have an interest in technology, networking, programming and cybersecurity.

The U.S. Department of Defense has funded the LSC Cyber Day workshop to increase awareness about the many jobs available in the cybersecurity field.
