If you're a book lover, you're in luck;  if you're a fan of Minnesota-sourced reads - this is an event you won't want to miss.  Zenith Bookstore will host a Grand Opening Book Fair on Saturday, September 16 in the parking lot between the store and Beaner's Central Coffeehouse in West Duluth.

The event will happen from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

In addition to being able to check out the newest bookstore in Duluth, visitors will also have the opportunity to meet and greet Minnesota-based authors, comedians, and performers. At the same time, 10% of sales from all vendors will go to support the Big Red Bookshelf - a community resource meant to increase access to books.

Here is a run-down of who will be in attendance at the Book Fair:

  • Brian Freeman:  A well-published national author, Brian writes psychological suspense novels that are set in and around the Duluth area.
  • Lorna Landvik: A Minneapolis author and comedian.
  • Barton Sutter:  A Duluth-based poet that incorporates the Northland into much of his work.
  • Linda LeGarde Grover:  A professor of American Indian Studies at UMD, Grover tackles similar themes in her novels and short stories.
  • Teague Alexy:  Duluth-based singer-songwriter.
