The Duquesne University Tamburitzans will perform here at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 14, in the Lake Nebagamon Auditorium. The "Tammies" have been performing here every year for more than 60 years and their appearance here has a unique face to face aspect not present in larger halls, said Jake Fuller, president of the Nebagamon Community Association, sponsor of the event.
The Duquesne University Tamburitzans are the longest-running multicultural song and dance company in the United States. Created in 1937, the Tamburitzans mission is twofold: first, to provide deserving students an education; second, to perpetuate the varying folk cultures and traditions of Eastern Europe.
There are no reserved seats, but tickets may be reserved by calling Swan Dawson,(715) 374-3101, weekdays or online at ccoletta@centurytel.net. Doors will open at 6 p.m
