Work Begins On Duluth's Campus Connector Trail

Crews with the City of Duluth will get to work today on a trail that will eventually link the college campus area to the Lakewalk.

The Campus Connector Trail will run along College Street - between Junction Avenue and Kenwood Avenue - by the College of St. Scholastica. The target destination brings the trail down towards the lake and by Lowell Elementary School, eventually linking to the Lakewalk Trail.

Drivers can expect some temporary closures along College Street in order to provide work crews the ability to transport equipment to and from the site; flaggers will direct traffic during those times. Area residents are reminded that there will not be any on-street parking allowed for the duration of the project. The north sidewalk will also be inaccessible, but pedestrians will be able to use the walkway on the south side of the street.

The work is anticipated to be complete by July 31.
