Woodland Gas Utility Project Meeting Happens April 5

A major utility project that will affect those who live, work, and access the Woodland neighborhood is scheduled for this summer.  Ahead of the work timeline, officials with the City of Duluth will hold an informational meeting on Thursday, April 5, 6:00 PM at the Woodland Community Recreation Center:  3211 Allendale Avenue.

The project will see the replacement and upgrade of the natural gas mains in the Woodland neighborhood.  Numerous small-diameter pipes will be upgraded to new 6-inch plastic mains along the following routes:

• On Woodland, from St. Paul Avenue to Anoka Street
• On Anoka Street, from Woodland Avenue to Rendle Avenue
• On Rendle Avenue, from Anoka Street to Austin Street
• On Austin Street, from Rendle Avenue to Kolstad Avenue

The work is expected to be complete by the end of fall.
