Here's a chance to get outdoors and on-the-trails to enjoy the beauty that the Twin Ports offers in the autumn season.  Women Hike Duluth has an event planned for Saturday, October 20 at Ely's Peak - with a 1:00 PM starting time.

This fourth event that the organization has planned will take participants from the Beck's Road parking lot to the top of Ely's peak.  Organizers alert those planning on participating that the hike to the top of Ely's Peak is rocky and steep; they also suggest that the decent on the loop trail afterwards will be easier - offering an excellent opportunity to wind-down.  The hike total is about 3 miles.

The event is free and open to the general public.  There is more information available on the event page on Facebook or their website.

To get to the Beck's Road parking lot where the event starts from, take Interstate 35, turn on Midway Road Exit 246; go south on Midway Road/Becks Road about 2.7 miles.

Organizers are sharing that if the weather doesn't hold out and there needs to be a cancellation, the event will be rescheduled for Saturday, November 3.  For any questions or more details, call the Duluth Parks and Recreation:  218-730-4325.
