The Milwaukee Police Department is looking into death threats made against Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) in the wake of his recall election victory.

A department spokesperson  said the threats, made primarily over social media, are being treated seriously and could even constitute criminal acts.

The Milwaukee Police Department is working with the Wisconsin Department of Justice to address the alleged threats, some of which have been chronicled on a conservative blog.

A spokesman for Walker said that his office is aware of the threats but has no intention of changing the governor’s schedule.
