With the Wisconsin fishing opener Saturday, a reminder to examine and clean your boat before you head out to the lakes. According to the Wisconsin DNR, invasive species are earlier this year. Volunteers like myself, and the DNR will be randomly checking boats throughout the state starting  Saturday to insure your boat is clean and free before you enter the lakes.

If officials find what they believe to be a danger, you’ll not be allowed in the lake. To be safe, carefully examine and or clean your boat and motor  before you head out. Check out the Minnesota DNR for more about what to look for. Good Luck this Saturday!
