South Superior resident Dave Beattie captured incredible footage of a wild bobcat paying a visit Monday afternoon.

The wildcat was spotted around 5:30pm in Dave's backyard in South Superior near Central Avenue. The bobcat stuck around for a few minutes before running back into the woods.

Bobcats can weigh up to 20 pounds, Dave estimates this bobcat was about 2 feet tall.

While not rare in Wisconsin, bobcats certainly aren't common to see within city limits. They are shy animals, so they don't pose a big threat to humans, but could be a threat to your unattended pets like dogs or cats.
