The Superior Police Department is helping to promote two safe community trick-or-treating events, designed to give parents an alternative to going door-to-door.

  • The Superior Public Library will host two sessions:  one from 10AM to Noon and again from 2PM to 4PM.  The theme at the library this year is Peter Pan!  The library is located at the south-west corner of Belknap and Tower.
  • Concordia Lutheran Church is hosting a Trunk-Or-Treat in their parking lot - from 5PM to 7PM.  You can find them at 1708 John Avenue.

Both events are free to the public and first-come, first-served.

If you are planning on allowing your child to trick-or-treat door-to-door, the Superior Police remind parents to accompany their kids.  They also suggest that swords, knives, and similar costumes are kept short and flexible.  Wear reflective tape on costumes and bags and use a flashlight.  Use crosswalks and look both ways before crossing.  Never accept rides from strangers.  Always keep safety first!
