As you get ready to take down those decorations over the next week or so - and find that you have older holiday lights that no longer work - you may wonder how to properly dispose of them.  WLSSD is providing a local, green solution!

You can easily recycle those unwanted holiday light strings for free at the WLSSD Materials Recovery Center.  In fact, they don't even have to be holiday-related; any electrical cord that no loner works is able to be recycled for free at that facility.

It's also good to note that the option isn't just available this time of year; WLSSD accepts no-longer-wanted electrical cords at their Materials Recovery Center all year long.

The WLSSD Materials Recovery Center is located at 4587 Ridgeview Road in Duluth.  They are open for drop-off Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM; the center is closed on Sundays and Monday's.
