Once upon a day, the IRS mailed you the necessary forms and instructions book you needed to complete your income taxes.  Those days - unfortunately - are over.  Now, you're left to source them out yourself.

If you're in need of Federal or state income tax forms, your public library is an excellent source to get them.

Copies of the basic Federal 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ forms as well as Minnesota State forms and instructions will be available at the Duluth Public Library's Main Library (top floor), the Mount Royal Branch Library, and the West Duluth Branch Library.  Additional forms and instructions can be found online and the library will allow people to print 10 pages without charge.  The IRS is not providing the library with instruction booklets for the basic forms.  Copies of Federal instructions can be found online at IRS.gov/forms and at IRS.gov/orderforms (to request copies by mail).  Copies may also be requested by calling 1-800-829-3676.
