The corner of Arlington Avenue and Central Entrance has become ground-central for development in the Twin Ports!  Just a few months ago, there were  three gas stations at that intersection.  Now, it appears that it will look entirely different soon.

Not long after Kwik Trip started their construction on the south-west corner, the BP (one of two at the corner) located on the north-west corner closed. In a matter of days, all remnants of the gas station were gone - from the pumps to the tanks.  So - it begged the question:  What's going to replace that store?

The answer was probably staring at us all along.  According to cdinduluth.com - a website that tracks retail and commercial construction in the Twin Ports - a strip mall will take the place of the former BP and the stores immediately to the west of that spot: Pizza Hut, UPS Store, and Lake Superior Laundromat.

Before you panic - the three stores that are still in business (Pizza Hut, UPS Store, and Lake Superior Laundromat) will return - with new locations in the mall.

What's interesting to note is that the returning Pizza Hut would be like no other Pizza Hut in the area;  this new restaurant would feature a bar.
