The Simpsons will be losing one of their core voice actors. Harry Shearer has announced he is leaving the show. The squabble as he says it, came when he was told he couldn't work on any outside projects, but the producers disagree. According to TMZ it's because of merchandising payments.

Either way, this affects the show. Can they really replace him, one of the core voices? Harry voices Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns, Principal Skinner, Otto, Smithers, and many more. Seasons 27 and 28 are set to go into production without Harry, who was holding them up with his contract demands.

I am thinking, they cancelled the DVD production and won't put out any more seasons, maybe they should cancel the production of new seasons and keep the integrity of the show with the original voices.
