Derek Medved was one of the people who mourned when the Gary Milkhouse closed its doors. Some people figured there was nothing they could do and it was an end of an era. Derek took it as motivation to open the store he grew up with. In fact, he once worked at the store and said to himself, he was going to own the Milkhouse one day.
