As crews continue their work on the Grand Avenue project in West Duluth, an off-shoot repair will necessitate a water shutdown for residents in West Duluth on Tuesday, October 13.

Crews with the City of Duluth will be working on that date to repair an old, leaking valve before it is covered with new pavement.

Residents near 62nd Avenue West and can expect a total water shutdown.  However, the work will result in lower-than-usual water pressures for customers to the west of that intersection - including Norton Park, Riverside, Gary-New Duluth, and as far west as Fond Du Lac.

The work is scheduled to start at 8:30 AM and end by 5:00 PM.
